Been thinking about this and had another thought. Maybe I am mistaken that the formula for the v-belts is for the natural frequency of the belt. Is that formula to calculate the frequency of the belt vibrating where it contacts the pulley (or more accurately the vibration picked up that the belt imparts on the machine) ?
